Mindful Art
Dates:
Friday: 9th and 30th May, 13th and 27th June - 11am to 12.30pm
Saturday: 10th May, 14th June - 1pm to 2.30pm
Saturday: 31st May 11am to 12.30pm
During these sessions we experiment (and play) with art styles, crafts and creative thinking, whilst I guide you through the different ways we can add Mindfulness, and short meditations into every day.
Through using different art mediums, we will explore together, how to find the benefits of spending time being in the moment.
You can try one session to see if it's for you, or for a discounted rate, book 4 sessions, each has a different theme.
I teach at a slow and relaxed pace, and it is perfect for people who say they can't meditate.
Mindfulness reminds us about patience. Patience with the process and ourselves. We also practise being compassionate to ourselves and others. There is no judgement on what we create, it is about the process.
Some benefits can be immediate, although Mindfulness is a life long practice where we learn to slow down, notice how our minds work, and learn that focussing on something in the moment can calm a busy mind.
If each day we use a technique to allow our minds to disengage with the 'chatter' and 'catastrophising' we can become calmer, less stressed, and instead of reacting to situations, we can respond thoughtfully.
* Cost per one off session: £18 - Payable in advance

This is not an art lesson. Although I was a Graphic Designer before I trained as a therapist, I am not an art teacher.
I have basic knowledge in several art mediums, enough to get you started in each session, then we discover together.
